The Players

Paul Grierson - Lead Vocals, Lead guitar, Mandolin

Simply Bushed is the first band Paully joined and at the time he did know at least three chords but wasn't really certain of what a key was. These days he is the front man for the band, playing and singing up a storm.

Lately, Paul has been knocking out some of his own thoughts and experiences in the form of original songs. With a great response for the first effort, this area of the band will only grow and become a stronger focus.

However, All you really need to worry about is that the mulleted, ratbaggy one is there to inflict a Great time on anyone within coooeeee!

Chris Rieger (Riegs) - Lead Vocals, acoustic guitar

Born and bred into the music industry, Chris Rieger has been cloned from the missing DNA from all the greats in the industry. With a background of Australian and German culture, he has travelled the globe entertaining people throughout Europe, some parts of America and of course Australia.

After doing his time with a Rock band based at the Castle Hill Catholic University in Sydney, he moved swiftly to a prominent Irish Band. Here, he performed for the then Prime Minister and Premier of NSW and many serious dancers around the club scene in Sydney. He gained experience that saw him performing with talents like Daniel O,Donnel, Mary Duff, Normie Rowe. (What a name dropper) Nick named Riegs, he will always be happy to big smile for you especially if you buy him a beer.

Richard Andrew - Bass guitar

Richard Andrew grew up on a fruit orchard in country South Australia. He has always been a passionate music enthusiast, a musician who didn't play an instrument!! But in 2001 that all changed when he picked up the bass (can't be too hard, there's only 4 strings!) and started learning.

Rich joined The Bushed in late 2005 and has been lockin' in with his rhythm-partner-in-crime Stunnos ever since. He's the only member of the band who knows the real meaning of 'Raining on the Rock' having experienced this awesome phenomenon on three occasions when he was living out there.

Steve Stuut - Vocals, Drums and Percussion, whacky noises!

Stunno's is another of the original members of the band. He has always been a rock solid bloke and drummer. What we didn't know about was the quirky sense of humour, the ability to pump out any amount of timely sound effects and beautiful harmonies. Some of the bands most requested songs were written by Stunno's. Steve came to simply bushed with a heap of musicianship and experience which is what held the band together in the early days ( musically speaking !!)

Garry Baldry - Fiddle

The third original member of the band, Garry, is best know for his unusual white electric violin that looks like a treble clef, after retiring his real violin that he has had since he was 11 years old (that was along time ago) and his cool, unenergetic playing style (he's really just concentrating, so he says), and for that hat, with all the badges that he has collected from his travels with Simply Bushed around Australia.

If you ask Garry why he has stuck with Simply Bushed for the last many years, he'll tell you that it's the mateship of the blokes sin the band, the excitement of the audiences when we perform, and the appeal that Simply Bushed has to such a variety of people, and the simple fact that he is still having so much fun and enjoying the whole experience.

On the Bench

Over the years we have had a couple of great blokes in the band, they are all still good mates and we are fortunate to have them available to fill in if one of us is close to death, close enough to be excused from a gig!!

Dan Miranda: Acoustic guitar and vocals. Randoes whilst originally hailing from a little obscure island off the pillapines, can sing the hell out of a bush tune and knows more fancy chords than any other Semi - Asian guitarist !!!

Charlie Lee: Bass Playing Legend, Charlie is Still heavily involved in song writing with paul on a weekly basis and is still helping the band from behind the scenes. Charlie also has special skills involving pulling Grier into line as is required.
